In other news, we now have 2 entries for the Buffy Video contest. Please pimp this contest so we can get more entries. I was hoping that with all of the great (millions) of Buffy vids out there that we would have had at least 10 entries by now. If we don’t get more entries for the vidding contest or the Search A Word (no entries there yet), then the prizes will change to just more than likely the comic books only. I hate to have to do that, but come on people, get those entries in!

Round 10 will be opening on April 1st. I’m going to start opening rounds on the first of each month from now on to try to help me out with judging here and at with silence & tears. Also, I’d like to be able to get back into vidding again, so this may help me out.

Also, please make sure you all are reading the rules. I didn’t disqualify anyone this round but if it keeps becoming a problem then I’ll go back and just make this site movies only again. I’m sorry to have to do this, but there are tv shows that I’ve not watched yet that I am intending to watch and don’t want to be spoiled.

There is no challenge round this month over on MySpace. I will have the awards posted for the two entries for January’s round soon up on MySpace. But be prepared for April’s round. It’s going to be a big one so we need more people to join up to enter! I’m also going to be uploading a couple of videos that really stood out this round on there. So, go check it out!

Introductions first, I’m Donna (of ws&t and taintly-faded.org) if you don’t know me already. Jen and I are pretty good friends and she asked me to keep you guys updated with her while she’s out.

Her mom called me earlier to give me an update and here I am passing it along to you guys.

Good News! She made it through the surgery just fine. They removed the tumors and preserved her ovaries so it looks like one day we will in fact have little Jen’s running around should she so choose. And other good news, the doctors said that they (the tumors) looked begine and even though they’re being sent to the lab for conformation, everything looks good for no cancer, etc.

She’s pretty out of it, according to her mom, so I’ll be calling her tomorrow when she’s a little more coherent just to make sure, but yeah, she’s doing good. And I’m sure she’s thanking all of you for your well wishes and prayers.

When I had my gastric bypass surgery in October, the doctors found cysts on both of my ovaries. I was supposed to go see my gynecologist six weeks later but put it off because of being busy with work. I went this morning and got some very disheartening news. There are cysts on both ovaries, however, there are also tumors on both ovaries. This will require surgery and I will be going under the knife next Wednesday (February 7th). I will know more next week when they can get a better look. The doctor told me today that he would do his best to preserve my fertility since I am of childbaring age and have no kids. He could not guarantee this and I’m really not sure what will happen if he can’t (if this procedure will turn into a hysterectomy). I’m sure I’ll also be finding out in the next few weeks if the tumors are cancerous. Cancer runs in my family, so when he said the word ‘tumors’, I just kind of broke down.

So, what this means to you all is that I will more than likely be going on hiatus for an undetermined amount of time. I’ll try my best to get awards up before the surgery, but there is so much I have to do to prepare for this (like get my apartment cleaned). If anyone would like to help out, that would be great. Also, I know Donna could use the help over at with silence & tears, as I don’t know if/when I can return back to judging (mental focus thing) for her. They are looking at me being off from work for about 4-6 weeks depending on how the surgery goes.
